SWORDS CHURCH PLANT

In the Spring of 2006 Graham McClellan began a series of 'healing meetings' in Swords, Co. Dublin. This led into weekly Sunday evening meetings and a mid-week home group. When Graham left, the group of Christians asked Elim to take it over. So in the Spring of 2008 Pastors John McEvoy and Richard Mawhinney received the work into 'ElimMinistries' with Richard Mawhinney and the Navan Church taking up responsiblity for the Swords Fellowship.

At the beginning of this year Sunday morning Services began in the Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords with the fellowship being called Fingal Community Church. Sunday attendance has been averaging out at around 12 adults a week. The ministry is largely supplied from the Navan Church with Richard Mawhinney as the covering Pastor. Local leadership is given by John and Sue McAllister, a very committed and able couple with vast experience in church leadership.

Please pray for this fledgling church:

For a firm foundation and wisdom,

For growth and maturity,

For the outreaches this Autumn and Winter - 'healing meetings' in the Fingal area of Co. Dublin and a special Christmas concert by NikiRogers and Pastor Gary Gibbs (England).

MANORHAMILTON CHURCH PLANT

Noel Mills is married to Heather almost three years. He has two daughters, Nikki (28) and Emma (25).

At present Noel and Heather are pioneering a church plant in Manorhamilton, Co Letrim. They are using traditional Irish music as their main form of outreach, calling themselves 'Celtic Cross'. The outreach team are delighted to be joined by Eric D'Reccio from Orlando who is joining them for full time evangelism. God has also provided a piece of ground that has been given to them and hopefully a portacabin will be put in place before the end of October. They meet once a month and have been encouraged to see God save lives and fill them with the Holy Spirit. The average attendance is now around 35 and they hope to hold weekly meetings beginning September 2009.

Noel is also working along side the Methodist church with another church plant in Carrick on Shannon, Co Roscommon, they now have their own leadership team and have outgrown their building for the second time in a year. Alongside this he is also helping them do outreach into Collooney.
